Patterns Are Everywhere

In Math, a pattern is defined as a repeated arrangement of numbers, shapes, colours, figures, and so on.  Simply put, A pattern is a design that repeats.


Patterns are everywhere around us.  Patterns help kids know what comes next. They teach children to think and connect ideas.


This is an example of a pattern showing shapes.  As you can see below, the pattern has two different shapes.

It has circles and  squares.

Can you see how the shapes  repeat?
